Bosco di Mangalaviti
This is a place of extraordinary beauty and charm; this wood is above all in the territory of Longi and Bronte. At the highest altitudes there are thick and huge beech woods, mixed with Maples, Ash Trees, Hollies, Crab Trees and Yews while at lower altitudes this wood hosts notable ancient turkey oaks. Along the several torrents there’s rich vegetation. It is possible to reach this place from Longi and Galati Mamertino through “portella gazzana” (979 m. a.s.l.). Bosco di Mangalaviti offers charming tours and notable panoramic points.
