Chiesa "Ss. Annunziata"
The church of St Annunziata was initially built in Via Fonte Pubblica in the area in front of the two fountains. In 1739 it was damaged by an earthquake and it was completely destroyed by another earthquake in 1823. The church was rebuilt in an area that belonged to the general Comm. Antonio Moriondo who had married in a second marriage the baroness Calcagno D’Amico Maria. On the main gate there’s the marble inscription of “1857”. The tower bell is on the right side; it has been recently renovated as it was struck by a lightning.
The church has a single longitudinal nave which ends in an apse. The apse hosts the statue of Madonna Annunziata, a statue started by Gaggini and completed by his sons Antonio and Giacomo in November of 1534.
